Professional Formatting
If you are writing a book, one of your final step in the writing process should be to format the book properly. While different publishing houses may have specific requirements, some standards apply across the industry.
A Microsoft word document is not industry standard formatting. With professional formatting, your book will be professionally formatted using Adobe InDesign software that provides professional layouts for print and digital publishing.
A professional layout will give your book an attention-grabbing look that is pleasant to read. You can select one of three different templates for the layout, consisting of a variety of fonts and styles for headers, footers, margins, and page numbers.
Professional Formatting

Text Formatting $199
Service includes:
- Two book interior layout templates to select from
- Correction of extra white space, paragraph indents, mixed fonts, headers and footers, page numbering, proper order of front material, and an updated table of contents
- Formatting does not correct typos, misspellings, incorrect wording, incorrect punctuation, or other editorial issues. These issues will only be addressed by an Editorial Evaluation
Advanced Formatting $299 (including image placement)
Service includes:
- Four book interior layout templates to select from
- Correction of extra white space, paragraph indents, mixed fonts, headers and footers, page numbering, proper order of front material, and an updated table of contents
- Placement of a maximum of ten images. We will not crop, resize, or otherwise change your images. What you submit to us will be placed on the page.
There is an additional $9.99 per image charge for image resize and cropping
- Formatting does not correct typos, misspellings, incorrect wording, incorrect punctuation, or other editorial issues. These issues will only be addressed by an Editorial Evaluation.
Children's or Picture Book Formatting $399
Service includes:
- Custom formatting tailored to your book
- Unlimited use of images. We will not crop, resize, or otherwise change your images. What you submit to us will be placed on the page
There is an additional $9.99 per image charge for image resize and cropping
- Children's picture books have a maximum of 30 pages
- Formatting does not correct typos, misspellings, incorrect wording, incorrect punctuation, or other editorial issues. These issues can be addressed by an Editorial Evaluation
Minimum Submission Requirements for any formatting package:
- Your final, proofread manuscript file as either a Microsoft word document, OpenOffice document or in Rich Text Format (RTF)
- Your images as separate JPEG files
- Your ISBN. You must obtain an ISBN before beginning this service. Your ISBN must appear on your copyright page. This is a mandatory requirement by DLite Press.
- DLite Press will obtain an ISBN for you if you have already purchased one of our packages
You will receive:
- A PDF as well as a Word version of your formatted manuscript
After purchasing the service, DLite Press will send you instructions on how to submit your file
