Fran Cheryl Nelson-Riddick authored her first book, with the late Reverend Mary Elizabeth Williams Nelson her mother. The youngest of the five children, of the late Mary Nelson and Elley Roy Nelson, she graduated from Murry Bergtraum High School at the age of 16. She received a full academic scholarship to Adelphi University, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science. While working at Times Squares Stores on Long Island during college she met and married her long time love Leonard James Riddick on June 11, 1988, they have one son Jakor James Riddick and one grandson A. Jakor ‘Juce’ Riddick. She began a successful career in Commercial Insurance Claims and is a Senior Casualty Analyst in the Insurance Industry. Fran has a strong spirited personality, and is passionate about her family, friends and her love of writing poetry and stories. Half way to 100 she accomplished the goal she set for herself at age 14, with the help of her mother, to become an author.
